How to prepare print artwork for a soft reflector. Two ways: finished vector artwork on the shape's template, or designing straight in the browser.
Vector artwork (recommended)
We recommend creating the artwork in Adobe Illustrator as vector graphics. Download the shape's template (PDF), keep the artwork inside the safe area and save as PDF. Templates are available for every shape.
Raster images
If the artwork contains raster images (photos, bitmaps), use 300 dpi at final size.
Print under the reflective film
The print is usually inside the reflector, under the retroreflective vinyl film, so the image is not very prominent. That is a feature of the product, not a fault: a soft reflector is first a personal safety product and only second a promotional surface.
Colours and Pantone
For the same reason Pantone colours are usually unnecessary: as the reflector moves you only see part of the image at a time, and an exact shade cannot be told apart. Bright, high-contrast colours work best.
